This 100% syrah is smooth and easy, it paired perfectly with our takeout chinese. At around 12 bucks it is just right.
Wine Advocate gives it a 90 and said "The sensational 2011 Vin de Pays Syrah-Sublime (100% Syrah) reveals sumptuous notes of spring flowers, blackberries, cassis, licorice and forest floor. Drink this complex, textured, full-bodied vin de pays over the next 2-3 years, although it may last even longer."
Produced by the great wine making team of Marc and Anne Pichon in the Cote de Ventoux village of Mormoiron. The Domaine le "Murmurium" is derived from Latin, meaning "The Buzzing Song of Bees." Using organic practices, they make rich hand crafted wines. There seems to be a number of stores in the NY/NJ region that carry this great value wine.
