In our never ending search for the perfect draft we finally made it to Birreria the fabulous rooftop beer garden atop Eataly on 23rd and 5th in NYC. Needless to say the location is exceptional and the food and beer and wine on tap are the best.
We were on our way to another event but had a few minutes to enjoy two draft beers.
Whether you are a beer or wine lover this is a place you must try.
The trip up to the roof takes you to another place a fantasy of many delights. Menu
There are many beers on draft, Italian and American Regional Craft. You will also find giant casks of fabulous wine for your imbibing pleasure.
There any other choices by bottle and another great thing is that Birreria, in collaboration with Dogfish Head, Baladin and Del Borgo, is brewing unfiltered, unpasteurized and naturally carbonated Cask Ales on the rooftop. This delivers a true beer experience the way it was back in the day.
You probaly know that Eataly gets very very busy and the same is true of Birreria, so pick your time to visit strategically. We arrived at 6:15 on a Thursday evening and the tables for dining were almost filled and the bar was crowded. At later hours or on the weekend the wait can be long. But you can put your name in and wander around Eataly for hours with joy. You can also reserve on-line.

Everything, when placed on a rooftop, becomes better. Hehehe. Bars, restaurants, gardens, what more can you put up above? Seriously, this place is a hit. I hope there's a place like this near us. :D

Studies show that a glass of beer a day for women or up to two drinks a day for men will reduce the chances of strokes, heart and vascular disease.
