Here is another exciting cocktail that you will just love.
It takes some work but is beautiful to eye, has a wonderful scent and is deliciously intoxicating.
Made with vodka, white rum or tequila. I also use lemon, rosemary, mint and ginger simple syrup and a splash of seltzer.
I call it Ginger Rose.
Served it at three parties so far and most everyone loved this concoction.
The first step in making this cocktail is preparing ginger simple syrup. I always have a bottle in my refrigerator as it adds a wonderful flavor to many drinks. I like it with vodka, sake, and with seltzer. Here is a good recipe for Ginger Simple Syrup.
Not to get off track but Simple Syrup is an essential part of any cocktail experts repertoire there are some many ways to you can make and use it.
With the Ginger Simple Syrup you will need these ingredients a lot of fresh lemons, Meyer Lemons are the best, several sprigs of fresh mint, several good sprigs of rosemary. I found some wonderful long rosemary twigs in the produce depart of Shoprite in Bloomfiled. Other ingredients include vodka or an alternate spirit and seltzer.
For two drinks
In a glass cocktail shaker combine 1 1/2 ozs lemon juice, a slice of lemon, 8 to 12 mint leaves and 1 oz of the ginger simple syrup. Muddle with a muddle stick to open up the flavors.
