Today my friends at Amanti are pouring a wonderful array of Spanish wines.
The tasting will be presented by Dave Stewart a Wine & Spirit Education Trust student who is just back from a wine tasting trip in Spain.
He is presenting some really outstanding wines. One of my favorites being served is Loxarel OPS from Alt Penedes Catalonia, Spain. It is made of the Spanish grape Tempranillo with Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot it is a great wine for people just learning to enjoy Spanish wines. It is also a tremendous value.
Also offered is a wonderful Albarino Burgans, a beautiful white that you should try. Drink it in place of Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc.
Rioja is the most known wine of Spain and this one by Lopez de Heredia Rioja Rosado 1998 is Rioja at its best. Don't miss it.
Lastly there is Lopez de Heredia Cubillo Crianza 2003, I am not familiar with this wine but I am sure it is great they say "For years this was reserved for the top wine bars in Madrid"
