WINE DOWN, is a monthly cocktail-style party, hosted by Celebrity Wine Consultant Michael Green, the Wine & Spirits Consultant to Gourmet Magazine for over 19 years.  Each event features unlimited tastes of great wines, lively music, and a cool, sophisticated, and eclectic crowd.  We've stripped away all of the pretension of traditional wine tasting events.

WINE DOWN was selected as one of "The Best Drinking Events in NYC" by Time Out New York, and has recently been featured in New York Magazine's Grub Street, The Feedbag, Behind the Burner, Wined & Dined, The New York Daily News, and Guest of a Guest. 

HOW DOES IT WORK? Doors will open at BLVD, our new home, at 7:30 pm.   Guests are always greeted with sparkling wine and a copy of the evening’s tasting notes, and are encouraged to taste through the wines at their own pace and enjoy an assortment of passed hors d’oeuvres.  We encourage guests to mix, mingle and make meaningful connections.

PAST EVENT THEMES HAVE INCLUDED: SOMMELIER ROCK, which featured off-the-radar wines selected by some of the nation's top sommeliers (from The Modern, The Bellagio Resort, Tribeca Grill, Landmarc, Gilt, A Voce, and Kefi); SIPPING INTO SUMMER, which was highlighted by a collection of summer wines from around the globe and the great summer wines of Sonoma Valley; TALK DIRT TO ME, which celebrated that "place is a taste," and showcased over twenty wines from the world's most celebrated wine regions; and THE COLUMBUS DAY WINE DOWN - MADE IN THE USA!, which featured over 30 wines from both classic and emerging American wine regions.
