Everyone has there favorite Italian "Red Sauce" place. Where they go for good basic Italian.
At first glance Lombardi's looks like that, but it's more. It is now a favorite of ours.
As you enter and gaze upon the full bar and dining room you will be immediately dazzled by the incredible collection of sport photos and memorabilia that fill the walls and ceiling. An amazing collection that must have taken years to acquire. Rumor is that the people who opened Lombardi's were once with Star Tavern. And we all know how good their pizza is. May not be true, but Lombardi's does have great thin crust pizza like Star Tavern. I started with a nice cold Peroni. Something Star did not offer the last time I was there. And after all, what is Italian food without good Italian beer or wine? Diana had the "Famous Italian Sangria." It was too sweet and juicy. But we are Sangria connoisseurs. Many delicious items, all the standards, were on the appetizer menu. Luckily we just ordered a pizza to follow. The dishes of pasta and meat that were coming out of the kitchen were huge. The Shrimp Scampi pie we had was very tasty. If you love garlic. We found the staff friendly and attentive. I think Lombardi's is an all around great place. I love this place so much. Beer is great. Tank can eat a whole pie herself. Great place to hang with especially if you are with The Giant
