Considering the many times I have dined at or taken out from Greek Delights, I was surprised to see I had never written a review.
Had lunch there last Saturday with my daughter, Nell, and her boyfriend, Kris. It was delicious as usual.

The cozy diner atmosphere and cheerful bustling staff make Greek Delights a welcoming place. Nothing fancy, just good inexpensive food.

Today we started with the Revithosalata, Chick Pea Dip, served with their delicious warm pita bread. A hearty Greek Salad and the Kolokithakia Skordalia, Fried Zucchini with Garlic Dip. The Zucchini was very nicely, lightly breaded.
Other favorite appetizers are the Gigantes, the large white beans In and flavorful tomato sauce; Shrimp Saganaki with Greek cheese broiled with lemon, fresh tomato and garlic. They love garlic at Greek Delights. We also love the fresh beets with Skordilia, potato and garlic dip.
We were all hungry so I ordered a Mousaka, not exactly on my diet, but it was worth the infraction. It was rustic in presentation as if it came from a country kitchen. The beef was nicely spiced, eggplant well cooked, and the bechamel sublime.
Nell had the Lamb Kokkininsto, stew, over orzo. She devoured that with great pleasure. Kris had a classic gyro. He thought the yogurt sauce was a little heavy.
We like most all of the dishes at Greek Delights. The fries dusted with olive oil and oregano are a treat if you don't mind the carbs. The lamb in filo is great and the seafood is usually exceptional.

I totally agree with all the reviews above. the food is like down home cooking & simply delicious..That Mousaka is simply delish....
I work in Montclair and I go there at least 3 times a week......Very spacious and Homely.....

just to let you know they have moved to 558 bloomfield avenue, montclair. Their new space is beautiful and it has plenty of room for big parties. Their food is great and wonderful as always. I am so glad they got a bigger space.

I'm a regular what can i say, best food for the price in all of Montclair, service is always good, food never disappoints.
Best restaurant in Montclair if you looking for something cheap and simple but don't want to be disappointed.
